Analysis and Solution to Leakage Reasons of Plate Type screen Changer

  The seal of plate mesh screen changer mainly relies on manual adjustment and pressure activation seal. Aiming at the leakage reasons, such as wear and tear caused by sliding plate movement, degradation of sealing pressure ring, and damage of removal filter net, etc. One way is to reduce the possibility of leakage by increasing the pressure on the nose. Since seals are used to respond to extrusion pressures, they only work at peak pressures at higher pressures. At lower pressure, the seal will relax slightly. When the extruder is idle or operates at dripping speed with little pressure applied on the seal, the low viscosity material is easy to leak. Another way is to adopt an all-steel piecewise ring design for the slider seal of the plate mesh changer, which can solve this problem and provide a lifetime leak-free guarantee, regardless of the temperature and low viscosity. This enables the seal to operate without leakage in high temperature coating applications.
